It’s a sad day when there is no basketball, but we have baseball to hold us over. We’re going to Canada for today’s matchup between the Blue Jays and the White Sox. The Blue Jays are coming into this game red hot, while the White Sox are treading water right now. With a pair of aces on the mound, which team will come out on top? Let’s break it down and find out.

Blue Jays:
Toronto comes into this game after completing a four-game sweep of the Angels on the road and having won five games overall. Toronto comes in at 14-8 at home this season, having won four of their last six at home. Gausman takes the hill for the Blue Jays, and while the record might not be the best indicator of his season so far, if you look at his ERA, you will see that he has lost some close games. Gausman does not have much of a history with White Sox batters. He has only 33 at-bats and out of that limited sample size, they are hitting .333.

White Sox:
Man, has the injury bug run rampant all over this team? It’s amazing that people want to try and write them off so early in the season. They have been missing three of their prime power hitters and recently just lost their all-star shortstop and have been down an ace in their rotation all season. Yet they are not far from a Twins team that has over-achieved and benefited from one of the most cupcake schedules thus far in baseball. If you put all that in a vacuum, the Sox have a lot of life left considering it’s basically a two-team division. Giolito is one of their best players right now. Giolito looks to keep the Sox afloat, much like he has done all season with his 3-1 record and 2.61 ERA.

White Sox vs Blue Jays Pick F5 Under 4 runs.

Both teams are coming off of traveling to Canada. The White Sox have struggled to hit anything, and while better days are ahead, those days are not today. With the pair of aces looking to stretch into the later innings, I think this one stays under.

Same Game Parlay:
Under 7.5 Runs, Lucas Giolito Over 6.5 K’s, Guerrero Jr to record 2+ hits and Jose Abreu to record 2+ total bases.
