We pick up on the hardwood with one exciting series and one lopsided one. Tonight we’re heading back to Dallas for the do or die matchup with the Mavericks. It’s almost like the odds makers have waived the white flag, making the Warriors only a one-point dog in an elimination game on the road. So, can the Mavs save themselves the embarrassment of getting swept in the Western Conference finals? Let’s break it down and find out.

It’s turned back into what the Mavs do when their backs are against the wall. It’s the Luka show. All Golden State has to do is double him or force him to pass and we see what the result has been. Luka will still find his points despite the doubles and contested shots, but the Mavs need to get everyone involved like they did when they played Phoenix. The Mavericks definitely overlooked Wiggins, who has added another level to this Golden State offense. The main objective has been to try and slow down the shooting from the outside so that it has allowed Wiggins to dominate inside with soft defense from Luka since he can’t afford to get in any foul trouble.

We said it a while back, this team just keeps grinding, and we have even seen it in this series. They are never going to quit on a game. The veteran’s leadership is meshing extremely well at the right time with the younger players. Thompson has been shooting the ball better and playing more aggressively, and Curry finally hit 50% of his three-point attempts last game. The emergence of Wiggins in this series has been the biggest advantage for the Warriors. Not that he’s not an emerging player, but he’s getting some soft defense from Luka so that he doesn’t get into any foul trouble because he is their whole offense.

Mavericks vs Warriors Pick: Mavs ML
I think they avoid the humiliation of being swept at home. Steph made the comment that they are now playing with house money. I think Golden State plays but they really don’t care about winning this game. Consider the Mavericks ML.

Same Game Parlay:
