SGG PICKS OF THE DAY, OCT. 15
Clemson -13.5 over Syracuse (-110 DK)
I get that Clemson isn’t their usual powerhouse self this season. Seeing them with two losses this early in the season is crazy. On the other side though, Syracuse isn’t great and has lost two straight. On the road and after a bye, Clemson will take care of business tonight. Last season when these two teams met, Clemson won 47-21. I get that Clemson was a better team last season and played that game at home. That doesn’t bother me. Tonight, they will take care of business. I expect Clemson to get their season back on the rails in blowout fashion. They will win by at least two touchdowns.
Marshall team total points over 38.5 (-115 DK)
So far this season, Marshall is averaging 34.8 points per game. Their opponent, North Texas, is allowing 32.2 points per game. In my opinion, this is the perfect recipe for the Thundering Herd to go off. Marshall is averaging over 500 yards per offense while North Texas’ defense is allowing over 400 yards per game. As long as there aren’t weird turnovers from the Herd’s side, they should be able to score points quickly. Moving the ball will not be a problem both in the pass and run game. I know that 38.5 points for one team seems like a ton. College football is weird like that. Marshall will roll.
