ROCKIES VS DIAMONDBACKS JULY 7

Kyle Barrette

Did anyone else see Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens pitch in that A’s and Jays game yesterday? Both of these guys, who have done nothing but toss batting practice all season, looked like these greats last night. We’re coming for redemption today with another over that’s coming from two different teams. We’re heading to Arizona, where the Diamondbacks are hosting the Rockies.

Diamondbacks:
The D-backs have begun to climb out of the basement as they have assembled some good young guys. Pitching has really been their weak point this season and it shows in today’s starter, Keuchel. He comes into tonight’s game with an ERA of 8.5 and a WHIP of over 2. Keuchel has been lit up in his last four starts, one of them being against this Colorado team. He has allowed 23 runs in that four-start span. The hits are piling up, but so are the walks; he has issued three walks in three of his four starts, and they are all short starts .As you can imagine those last four games have soared over. Keuchel is 7-3 to the over this season.

Colorado:
The Rockies come into this game fresh off a sweep by the Dodgers, so you know they’re ready to hit some Keuchel batting practice. Going at Gomber, who takes the hill for the Rockies tonight, pitching at Coors is no excuse for what he has allowed over his last five starts. He has given up 28 runs. The long ball has been a problem for him as well, as he has surrendered five of them just over those last five starts. His most recent start was against the Diamondbacks, where he allowed four runs and gave up two home runs. Gomber is 6-5 to the over, but with totals mainly in the double digits, this number is still alarming.

Rockies vs Diamondbacks Pick: Over 9.5 Runs
Both of these guys are completely off right now. We just saw these two guys pitch against each other five days ago and there were fireworks. The game ended with 18 runs. Look for this one to score a good number of runs as well as take the over.

Same Game Parlay:
Over 9 Runs, Christian Walker to hit a HR, Ketel Marte to record 2+ hits, Kris Bryant to record an RBI and Jordan Luplow to record a run.
