PADRES VS BREWERS JUNE 3
If I told you the Warriors were going to be up 12 points heading into the fourth quarter, would you take them to cover the spread? Yeah, me too. An inexcusable meltdown in the fourth quarter, getting outscored by 24 points, and the scary part is that Tatum had an off shooting night. We’re heading back to the Diamond as the Warriors need time in between games to question their existence.
Honestly I didn’t expect this team to be this good and this would be the year that we see the Padres start to get blown up, there is still time but so far so good. They have hit a rough patch here lately losing five of their last six. Today they’re sending Musgrove to the hill. Musgrove has not been credited with a loss on his record so far this season and with good reason the Padres are 8-1 in games that he starts. They lost their last game to those pesky Pirates who just seem to be beating everyone these days. Musgrove does not have the best career numbers against the Brewers, his teams are 2-3 and he allowed multiple runs and at-least one home-run in each outing.
The Brewers still sit atop the NL Central, where it has already basically become the two-team race we figured it would be. After an amazing four-run ninth inning, the Brewers were able to take game one of this series. Today they send Corbin Burns to the hill. By the looks of his resume, if you’re not the Braves, I’m not sure what you expect to do against this man as he’s been basically unhittable against everyone else. The Brewers are only 6-4 in their starts this season, with every loss coming by two runs or less. Burns had one start against the Padres where walks got him into trouble, as he had three and allowed four runs on only two hits and did not give up a homer.
Brewers vs Padres Pick: F5 under 3.5 runs
Both these guys are going to throw some nasty stuff. Judging on how either team was not able to get anything going in yesterday’s game against two guys that are not as good, I like my chances for the same to happen today.
Same Game Parlay:
Under 6.5 Runs, Joe Musgrove Over 5.5 K’s, Corbin Burnes Over 7.5 K’s and Christian Yelich to record an RBI.
