NFL MNF: VIKINGS VS BEARS BEST BETS/PROPS
For this NFC North showdown, Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears host Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings opened as four-point road favorites and they have since been bet up by the public to six and a half-point favorites. While Chicago is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall, Minnesota is 1-5 ATS in their previous 6 matches in December. In Week 14, the Vikings defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-36, whereas the Bears lost in a competitive game with the Packers, 30-45. Although they were able to get the W, the Vikings almost allowed the Steelers to complete a 28-point comeback. However, teams that didn’t cover the previous week versus teams that did are 57-21-2 ATS this season, so the Bears are in a strong position to bounce back. Chicago is in a good position to cover in this match, even though they’ve been inconsistent, they’ve been competitive with most teams with star rookie Justin Fields. They should easily cover this margin. Take Chicago at home plus the points.
Justin Fields Over 38.5 Rushing Yards
After running for 74 yards on the ground versus the Packers stout defense, Justin Fields’s dynamic abilities have allowed him to have major success on the ground, and he’ll look to carry that into this one. Additionally, he only had 9 carries, so he won’t need much to pass up this amount of yards. The rookie has been a great playmaker for the Bears offense, despite his turnover margin. Additionally, he has run the ball at least five times in each game this season, so the Bears have made sure to keep his dangerous feet involved in their offense. Although the Vikings hold fairly good numbers against the run this season, Justin has proven he can tuck it and run when there is a heavy rush and tonight he should be facing a lot of pressure against the Vikings heavy pass rush. However, in Week 14 their defense allowed over 100 yards rushing versus the Steelers poor rushing attack. With one of the worst offensive lines in the league, Justin will be outside of the pocket for a lot of this game so expect him to show off his legs at some point. With his elite dual-threat ability, he should be able to easily hit this mark. Take Justin Fields to run by this total rushing yardage prop.
Adam Thielen Any Time TD (+135)
Following an injury keeping him out last week, Vikings receiver Adam Thielen should be a big part of the passing attack against a subpar Bears defense. Although he is now 31 years old, Thielen has still proven he is a top receiving threat. So far, he has caught 64 balls on a whopping 10 touchdown receptions. Additionally, he has nearly 100 targets in a pass-heavy system, so he has been a big part of their offense. Thielen is a great red zone threat and with his touchdown prop looking this juicy, it must be taken advantage of. With so many weapons on the Vikings offense, all focus will be on players like Justin Jefferson or Dalvin Cook, leaving Thielen wide open. Although the Bears have good pieces in their secondary, it will be hard for them to stop an offense of this caliber off of nearly two weeks of rest. He has had some monstrous outings this year where he has had double digit targets on three occasions. With how sure handed he is, he’ll make teams pay that give him any space at all. Expect Adam Thielen to have a good overall night and take him to score one for Minnesota.
