Following an efficient 2-1 performance for Sunday’s NFL edition of best bets, this Monday night game is a great opportunity to stay hot. In this AFC matchup, Josh Jacobs and the Las Vegas Raiders travel to northeast Ohio where they face off against Nick Chubb and the Cleveland Browns. Last week, the Browns narrowly defeated the Ravens, who were without superstar Lamar Jackson, 24-22. Contrarily, the Raiders were absolutely humiliated by the Kansas City Chiefs, 48-9. Both teams have had their struggles in their past few games, but one will hope to be back on track to make the postseason. With this in mind, here is what I love about this MNF action.

Raiders (+3.5)
The Browns opened this game as five-point home favorites, but the line has moved due to injuries and COVID-19 designations, and they are now favored by three and a half-points. Although the Raiders have been 1-5 ATS in their last six games, the Browns have been awful at home ATS where they are 2-7 in their last nine played in Cleveland. Additionally, the Browns are 1-4 ATS in their previous five overall matches. Although the Raiders have shown they are a broken team and have lost confidence, they are still able to take down a Browns team of this caliber. However, they are basically just playing for pride at this point with where they are in the playoff hunt. Derek Carr and the Raiders have had the Browns number where they are 3-0 SU and ATS in their last three matchups. If Vegas can mitigate turnovers by taking care of the ball they have a great chance of beating this depleted Browns team. Although this Browns defensive unit has been a serviceable bunch this season, they have had some inconsistencies where they have been scorched on that side of the ball. With over 20 players on the COVID-19 list I can’t see the Browns having much success versus a healthy Las Vegas team. Take the Raiders plus the points, where they should be motivated to curb their two-game losing streak.

Josh Jacobs Over 58.5 Rushing Yards
After running for just 24 yards on the ground versus the Chiefs, Josh Jacobs will be hungry to have a more productive outing this time. Additionally, he only had 9 carries, so expect him to be much more involved in the offensive gameplan. Jacobs has been an absolute bell cow for the Raiders when he plays, where he has seven total touchdowns and nearly 1,000 yards from scrimmage. Additionally, he has been a great help in the passing game with 44 receptions on the season. While the Browns hold fairly good numbers against the run this season, Jacobs has an innate ability to produce in games, whether it be on the rushing or receiving end. Although the Raiders were getting blown out by Kansas City, Jacobs still found a way to total nearly 100 yards from scrimmage where he was a big help in the passing game. In Week 14, Cleveland’s defense allowed nearly 100 yards rushing versus the Ravens rushing attack, minus Lamar Jackson. The Browns will be missing a lot of key players on defense with 2nd and even 3rd string players starting tonight, so expect Josh to be productive in some fashion. With the Raiders above average offensive front, they should be able to somewhat take control of the line of scrimmage. Take Josh Jacobs to run by this total rushing yardage prop with ease.

Nick Chubb Any Time TD (-120)
With the limited number of options for the Browns, they will definitely run their offense through superstar running back Nick Chubb. While he was unable to score versus Baltimore in Week 14, Chubb was able to carry his team to victory with fellow back Kareem Hunt out. So far on the season, Chubb has a modest total of 6 rushing touchdowns, but they will really be leaning on him tonight with most offensive starters out. With nearly 1,000 total yards rushing alone already, he always finds a way to be productive and he is due to reach the end zone. The Raiders are currently ranked in the bottom half in rush defense, and they will have a tough time with one of the best backs in the league. Additionally, Las Vegas will be without several key players on that side of the ball, like linebacker Denzel Perryman and cornerback Trayvon Mullen. This should allow Chubb to be productive at the very least. Take him to score in what should be an interesting game.
