In this NFC playoff contest, Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers travel to Lambeau Field to face off against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Last week, the 49ers went into Dallas and upset the Cowboys, whereas the number one-seed Packers were on a well-earned bye week. With this being the second meeting between these two this year, it will be interesting to see how each team has improved since their meeting in Week 3. While both teams have the momentum from their recent play, there is only one squad with the clear-cut advantages over the other. Here is what picks I love and why I love them for this Divisional round matchup.

Packers (-5.5)
The Packers opened this game as five point home favorites but they are currently favored by five and a half-points. While coach Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers are an impressive 9-3 ATS in their last 12 as road underdogs, Aaron Rodgers is 8-0 SU and ATS in his previous eight games with nine or more days of rest. While the 49ers were able pull off the upset of the weekend, they have been inconsistent and are unreliable on both offense and defense. Among playoff teams, they rank at the bottom in categories such as passing yards allowed per attempt at 5.9 yards allowed. With Aaron Rodgers at home against one of the worst passing defenses in the playoffs, San Francisco could find themselves in a hole early. Rodgers and the Packers average over 29 points per game at home this season. Although this 49ers defense has been steady nearly all season, Green Bay has quietly become one of the most dominant defenses in the league where they can seemingly do anything on that side of the ball. With an awful record of 2-9 SU against Green Bay in their last 11 games played at the Frozen Tundra, Lambeau Field, statistically the 49ers stand no chance. Take the Packers minus the points to cool off the 49ers.

Deebo Samuel Over 38.5 Rushing Yards
With a staggering 1,400 yards receiving for the 49ers receiver this year, Deebo Samuel has also become a serious threat at running back with nearly 400 yards and eight touchdowns at the position. Deebo has been an absolute stud for the Niners where he is arguably the most dynamic player in the game. He has rushed the ball at least eight times in each game this season, so he has been very involved in the ground game this year. While the Packers run defense is one of the most stout units in the league, Deebo has proven he can run just as effectively as the top backs in the NFL. With his rushing total again this low, it must be taken advantage of. This prop was eassy money in last week’s game, so I’m going to stick with the hot hand in this one. His efficient dual-threat ability should allow him to easily hit this mark as he has done it in regular season 8 starts. Take Deebo Samuel to run by this total rushing yardage prop with ease.

Davante Adams Any Time TD (-145)
Following yet another All-Pro season performance, Packers receiver Davante Adams should be a big part of the passing attack in this home playoff game. With not many reliable options in the receiving core for QB Aaron Rodgers, Adams is clearly the go-to guy for Rodgers which makes him arguably the best receiver in the game. This year, he had an absurd total of 123 receptions on 11 touchdown catches for over 1,500 receiving yards. Additionally, he had nearly 200 targets in this pass-heavy system, so he has been a big part of their offense to say the least. Davante is an unguardable red zone threat and even with his touchdown prop at just -145, it must be taken advantage of. With so many weapons on the Green Bay offense, all focus will be on players like Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion to stop the run, leaving Adams wide open. While the Niners have a formidable overall defense, their pass defense has been their kryptonite in the past, and against Aaron Rodgers, they could be in for a long, cold night. He has had some monstrous outings this year where he has four multi-TD performances. With how sure handed he is, he’ll make teams pay that give him any space at all. Expect Davante Adams to have an overall solid night and take him to score one for Green Bay.
