Following a tumultuous trade deadline in the NBA, the league has a fresh, new landscape after this huge shake-up that will make, or break teams’ hopes of making the playoffs. In this Eastern Conference matchup, Julius Randle and the New York Knicks host their cross-town rivals, the Brooklyn Nets. Last time out, the Knicks suffered an agonizing loss at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder 127-123, who are the worst statistically rated offense in the NBA, and the Nets were finally able to break their 10-game losing streak against the Sacramento Kings. There hasn’t been much consistency in the Big Apple this year where both of these teams are currently in the bottom half of the Eastern Conference Standings. However, we’re still before the All-Star break so teams can still recuperate at this point in the harsh schedule of an 82-game season. With this in mind, here are the best bets and player props for this NBA Wednesday contest.

Knicks (-4.5)
The opening line for this match originally favored the Knicks by six and a half-points but they are currently listed as just four and a half-point home favorites. Although the Knicks are a shoddy 1-6 ATS in their last seven games, Brooklyn has lost eight of their last eight games played on the road. Additionally, New York has had the Nets number in the last 10 matchups where they are 7-3 ATS. While the Nets are able to use Kyrie Irving for most road games despite his vaccination status, since this away game is also in New York, he will not participate due to state vaccination mandates. Brooklyn comes into this one 8th in the East with a record barely above .500, whereas the Knicks are also underperforming with an egregious 25-33 record. The Knicks certainly have the matchups they want for this game; however, their team chemistry hasn’t been clicking on all cylinders like they want to. Nonetheless, they will be hungry in this bounce back game at home, and I like them in this spot against a depleted Brooklyn squad. While the Knicks have been in a bit of a rough patch, the Nets have no one to rely on after trading James Harden and I like the Knicks to redeem themselves in this one. Take Julius Randle and New York minus the points vs the Nets.

Seth Curry Over 16.5 Points
Following a 23-point performance in his first outing with the Nets vs Sacramento, Seth Curry has shown he will be a great fit with the new Big 3 in Brooklyn. The spotlight is seemingly on Curry for their offense as Brooklyn deals with multiple star and role players alike who have been out. While in Philadelphia, Curry was a deadeye shooter and great scorer where he averaged over 15 points per game. With Kevin Durant being injured for a prolonged period of time and Kyrie Irving’s battle with his vaccination status, Curry showed he can carry the load when needed. Additionally, the Knicks are not a defensive-minded team, so he should be able to get some better looks at the basket than usual. This prop has amazing value given his hot shooting in the last few games. While he has a low of 6 points this season, I’m going to ride the hot hand and take him to once again produce at an efficient rate. Take Seth Curry to score more than his total points prop with ease.

Julius Randle Over 6.5 Assists (+120)
After dropping 10 dimes in their loss against the Thunder, Julius Randle has been as efficient a distributor as they come this whole year. Randle is averaging nearly 6 assists per game as a forward and has become a maestro in running the New York offense. Randle has been a primary point man all season and that has allowed him to have plenty of assist opportunities. When the Knicks last met the Nets just a couple months ago, Julius was able to easily dish out 9 assists. This prop has amazing value given his consistent numbers this season. While he has a low of 3 assists all year, I’m going to ride with the passing hand of Julius Randle and take him to once again dish out several assists. Take him to have more than his total assists prop.

+4334 Same Game Parlay: Knicks -4.5, Seth Curry Over 16.5, Kemba Walker Over 10.5, Julius Randle Over 10.5 Rebounds, Andre Drummund Over 10.5 Rebounds, Julius Randle Over 6.5 Assists
