NBA SUNDAY: SUNS VS BUCKS BEST BETS/PROPS, MAR. 6
Following a perfect 3-0 outing in Friday’s best bets for the NBA, this game is a great opportunity to stay hot. In this interconference matchup, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks host Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns. Last game out, the Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls, 118-112, whereas the Suns narrowly defeated the Knicks. Both of these teams are led by their own superstar and that’s why they are currently near the top of their respective conference. Nevertheless, during the midseason grind, players and teams alike can lose their rhythm due to the harsh schedule of an 82-game season. With this in mind, here are the best bets and player props for this NBA Saturday contest.
The opening line for this match favored the Bucks by seven points but they are currently listed as nine-point home favorites. Although Milwaukee has been a shoddy 2-6 ATS in their past eight contests, the Suns are a subpar 2-5 ATS in their last seven games. With the Suns currently without two of their star players, Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the defending champion Bucks could be more than Phoenix could handle right now. In the first matchup of these two teams this season, the Suns blew out Milwaukee where Booker and CP3 had a tremendous impact. However, without them, it will prove quite difficult to stop a fully healthy Bucks team who has won three straight. While the Suns have been in a bit of a rough patch, I like the Bucks in this spot to stay hot following their back-to-back wins. Take Giannis and the Bucks minus the points vs the Suns.
Deandre Ayton Over 16.5 Points
Following an uncharacteristic 8-point performance in his last outing vs the New York Knicks, Deandre Ayton will certainly bounce back in this big game. Ayton is averaging a solid 16 points and nearly 10 rebounds and has hit this point total over in three of his last four outings and seven out of his last 10. With no Devin Booker or Chris Paul as the primary contributor, the Suns will look to Ayton for more production on offense. The Bucks are one of the best offenses and have scored the 6th highest points per game as a team around the NBA, so he’ll have to push the pace in this one to get his daily dose of baskets. This prop has amazing value given his consistent numbers in the last month. While he has a low of 7 points this season, I’m going to ride the hot hand and take him to once again produce at an efficient rate. Take Deandre Ayton to score more than his total points prop with ease.
Khris Middleton Over 4.5 Assists
After dropping 7 dimes in his last outing vs Chicago, Khris Middleton has shown he can be as efficient a distributor as he has been a scorer this season. Middleton is averaging nearly 6 assists per game and has become a maestro in turning a good shot into a great shot. Middleton is one of the few point men on their squad and that has allowed him to have plenty of assist opportunities. When the Bucks met the Suns just a few weeks ago, Middleton was able to easily dish out 5 assists. This prop has amazing value given his steady numbers this season. While he has a low of 2 assists this year, I’m going to ride with the passing hand of Middleton and take him to once again produce at an efficient rate. Take him to have more than his total assists prop.
Same Game Parlay
Bucks -9, Deandre Ayton Over 16.5 Pts, Deandre Ayton Over 8.5 Rebounds, Giannis Over 12.5 Rebounds, Khris Middleton Over 4.5 Assists and Over 232 Points.
