Following an efficient 2-1 performance for Sunday’s NFL edition of best bets, this Monday night game is a great opportunity to stay hot. In this NFC West matchup, Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams travel to the desert where they face off against Kyler Murray and the 1st overall seed Arizona Cardinals. Last week, the Rams thumped the Jags by 30 whereas the Cardinals comfortably defeated the Chicago Bears, 33-22. These teams stand near the top of the current playoff picture, but one will be taking a step back following the final whistle. With this in mind, here is what I love about this MNF action.

Rams (+2)
The Rams opened this game as two and a half-point road underdog and that is currently where this line stands. Although the Rams have been 1-5 ATS in their last six games, coach Sean McVay has owned the Cards in recent years where the Rams are 7-1 ATS in their previous eight matchups with Arizona. Additionally, the only time the Cardinals did cover was this year when they defeated the Rams in LA. Although the Cards have proven they are a lock for the postseason, they still must overcome their fierce division rival, the LA Rams. However, there are plenty of flaws with coach Kliff Kingsbury and his team. In Week 4 when these two first met, Arizona was the benefactor of forced turnovers and time of possession, which ended up being the biggest factor of the game. If LA can mitigate turnovers by taking care of the ball, they should beat them. Although this Cardinals defensive unit has been a stout unit this season, they have had some inconsistencies where they have been scorched on that side of the ball. With a record of 10-2, I believe the Cardinals are not as elite as their record suggests. Take the Rams plus the points, where they look to get revenge against this Cardinals squad.

Kyler Murray Over 27.5 Rushing Yards
After running for 59 yards and two touchdowns on the ground versus the Bears, Kyler Murray’s dynamic abilities have allowed him to have major success on the ground, and he’ll look to carry that into this one. Additionally, he only had 10 carries, so he won’t need much to pass up this amount of yards. Kyler has been an absolute stud for the Cards, where he has five touchdowns rushing and averages four yards a carry. Additionally, he has run the ball at least six times in each game this season, so the Cardinals have made sure to keep his dangerous feet involved in their offense. Although the Rams hold fairly good numbers against the run this season, Kyler has proven he can tuck it and run when there is a heavy rush and tonight, he should be facing a lot of pressure against Aaron Donald and co. However, in Week 12 their defense allowed nearly 100 yards rushing versus the Packers mediocre rushing attack. With one of the worst offensive lines in the league, Kyler will be outside of the pocket for a lot of this game so expect him to show off his legs at some point. With his elite dual-threat ability, he should be able to easily hit this mark. Take Kyler Murray to run by this total rushing yardage prop.

Tyler Higbee Any Time TD (+210)
Following a productive outing in his last performance, Rams tight end Tyler Higbee should be a big part of the passing attack following injuries on their offense. With wide receiver Robert Woods out for the season, Higbee has played a big role in picking up the slack in his absence. So far, he has caught a modest 44 balls on three touchdown receptions. However, he does have nearly 70 targets in a pass-heavy system, so he has been a big part of their offense. Higbee is a great red zone threat and with his touchdown prop looking this juicy, it must be taken advantage of. With so many weapons on the Rams, all focus will be on players like Cooper Kupp or Odell Beckham, leaving Higbee wide open. Although the Cards boast as one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, it will be hard to replicate what they did in the first meeting against an offense of this caliber. He has had some monstrous outings this year where has had double digit targets on two occasions. With how sure handed he is, he’ll make teams pay that give him any space at all. Expect Higbee to have an overall good night and take him to score one for LA.
