What a roller coaster last night’s Mariners game was. Score five runs before recording an out and then just stinking for the whole game, allowing the Rangers to take the lead, tie it, and then blow it in the ninth. After that, I’m going to need a bit, so today we’re going back to the hardwood and going cross-country to Atlanta, where the Hawks are hosting the Heat. Can the Hawks get a much-needed win at home? Let’s break down both sides and see.

Miami’s defense on Young has been perfect so far, basically a Celtics on Kevin Durant level defense. The Hawks are in a worse boat because there is no one playing to help Young when the double comes. It’s like watching Trae vs. the Heat at times. Last game they were depending on a guy that they benched and almost cut. It shows this team does not have an answer for what the Heat have been able to do defensively. The Hawks needed a home game to try and claw back into this series. Atlanta was the eighth best home team in the league this season at 28-14, winning 66% of their home games. It doesn’t get any easier though, as Miami was the fourth best road team in the league, going 24-17, winning 58%.

The old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” rings very true right now. This Heat team is built for this type of environment, though. The veteran-dominant team has seen it all in one way or another. This Heat team is very complete and can beat you from basically anywhere on the court, and the Hawks are having an impossible time defending it. Young has only scored 32 points in the first two games combined, and we were used to seeing him score that or more in a single game. The Heat have won the first two games by 10 points or more. Can the Hawks really come up with a new plan and overcome those types of numbers?

Heat vs Hawks Pick: Heat ML
I think Miami is going to sweep this series, personally. The Heat have pinpointed what they want to do defensively, and the Hawks don’t have the skill players to overcome it. Take the Heat on the Money Line.
