Degens Only: Tuesday Plays, April 20

It’s a scary time when Jake Paul is the smartest person in the room. This is the case though I have to hand it to him, the money and publicity that he has gained recently has been done to perfection. Now he has everyone in the world trying to line up to fight him, and now all he has to do is choose who’s next. After a large payday of supposedly $65 million who knows who or when the next Paul fight will be, but best believe the names will most likely continue to get bigger. Paul will have to continue to prove himself, as he took a small step forward after fighting Askren, but he was also not a boxer. Not to mention coming into the fight looking like a bag of milk anyone with eyes can see he cared nothing about this fight and was in it for the money. Eventually, he will fight someone who is an actual boxer that beats the brakes off him, and that is how this whole thing ends, but hey, until then, keep stacking that money Jake. Now to stack our money let’s get into today’s plays.

White Sox Warriors: White Sox F5

The White Sox are one of the best built teams in baseball, with a three headed monster in their rotation and a group of guys who can leave the yard up and down the lineup. The White Sox have been money this year in the first five innings, only losing twice so far this season. They will send Rodon to the hill for this one after coming off a no hitter against these same Indians. It is well known that he can dominate this lineup. Active Cleveland players are only hitting .151 against Rodon. Cleveland has struggled against LHP this season as their only hitting .215 as a team vs lefties. The Tribe will send Plesac to the hill against a White Sox lineup that is middle of the pack VS RHP, but has hit Plesac for a .280 avg lifetime over 75 at bats. Look for the White Sox to continue rolling against the low scoring Indians. Take the White Sox F5.

Over the Cardinal Nest: Nats/Cards Over

This game screams over. The two starters in this one can’t buy a good game right now. Both are 0-2 and have been hit hard in their first few outings of the year. Both teams are also very familiar against the opposing starter. The Cardinals have hit Corbin for an average of .250 over 96 at bats and the Nationals have hit Wainwright for a .310 avg over 245 at bats. The Cards come into this game ranked second in the league against LHP hitting just over .300. The Nationals come into this game ranked fifth in the league hitting .255 against RHP. With these lineups and these starters, it’s hard not seeing this one sail over the total. Take the over.

New York New York: Mets Team Total Over

The Mets have played several games less than the rest of the league, but that has not slowed down this offense. The Mets come in ranked sixth against RHP and have been scoring and winning at a high rate they come into this game 7-3 in their last 10 games.  They find themselves in first place in the NL East. The motor behind this play is that they get to face Jake Arrieta in this one, who they have absolutely dominated over his career. The current Mets lineup is hitting an eye popping .368 against Arrieta over 158 at bats. With the Mets surging take them to score plenty in this one. Take the Mets team total over.

Pure Royalty: Royals F5

Rich Hill is by no means having a good season; in fact it might be his worst yet. He has started four games and has only thrown a combined 11 innings. He has come out of those four starts with almost a seven run ERA. While the sample size for the current Royals lineup is small against Hill, only 17 at bats but they are hitting .294. Hills body of work so far this season suggest nothing but trouble against a Royals team that is 4-1 in their last five and ranks 10th against lefties. It should be another long day well rather a short day for Hill in this one. Take the Royals F5.
